Obituary

Webster: Milda C. Soderman passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at home. She leaves her husband of 44 years, John E. Soderman, and a son and daughter-in-law Nils and Amy Westerlund of Rutland. Her son Leif Westerlund predeceased her in 2009.

Milda was born in Petalax, Finland, daughter of Emil and Edla (Lang) Carlson. She graduated from North High School and Becker Jr. College. She worked as a medical translator for Astra Pharmaceutical Company in Worcester, where she was its first American Employee. Milda was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester. She enjoyed gardening, reading and embroidering. She also enjoyed designing and making her own clothing.

There are no calling hours or services. Burial will be in Finland at a later date. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester assisted the family with arrangements. To leave an online condolence message, please click link below.
