Obituary

Worcester - Michel Dorelus, 61, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. He was born in Haiti, son of Julie Manozane Jeune and Joseph dit Legrand Dorelus. Michel has lived in the U.S. for 45 years, and six of those years in Worcester. He was pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ, Oshoffa Parish, in Worcester. Michel was Supervisor of Security at Adesa, Inc., in Framingham.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jacquelie Etienne Dorelus; five sons: Patrick, Isaiah, Gabriel, John, and Bradford; six daughters: Cynthia, Brenda, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Natasha. He also leaves four sisters, two brothers, and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, Friday, December 21, from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Evangelical First Haitian Baptist Church, 60 Ellsworth St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Evangelical First Haitian Baptist Church.
