Obituary

Worcester: Michael Jerome Burrell, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 19, 2021. He leaves 5 children - Michellé Burrell, Tiana Sturtze, Ashayla Burrell, Michael Burrell Jr., and Michai Burrell; a grandson Zayden White; his mother Rose (Burrell) Gaines and step father Darius Gaines; brothers Levester Burrell, Dwayne Burrell, Chris Rutherford and Matthew Rutherford; sisters- Jennifer Gaines, Cassandra Gaines, Elnora Rutherford and Nicole Rutherford; god mother Henrean Burrell and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his father Lee "Modie" Price

Michael was born in Worcester, graduated from Burncoat High School and took enrichment courses at WPI. He worked as a mason for several years. In his spare time he used all his not so hidden talents to keep his mind and hands busy as a tattoo artist, a mixed media artist, his family's personal barber, a handy man, a mechanic and a landscaper over the years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and being in the water.

Calling hours will be held on Monday March 29, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
