Obituary

Meryem (Eknaian) Eracar, 79, of 5 Van St., died Thursday, May 12, 2005, in Fairlawn Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Abraham Eracar, who died in 1983. Meryem was born in Malatia, Armenia, daughter of Harry and Markouhi (Eknaian) Eknaian. She leaves 2 sons, Ali Eracar of Istanbul and Mehmet Eracar of Worcester; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Harry Eknaian and Diran Eknaian, and a sister, Azadouhi Eknaian, all of Worcester; several nieces and nephews. A son, Mustafa Eracar, predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 17, at 11 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 635 Grove St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Holy Trinity Armenian Church. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. is directing arrangements.
