Obituary

Worcester: Merton G. "Mac" MacPhee, 98, passed away in Christopher House of Worcester on Friday, January 26, 2018. He leaves several nephews and nieces including Robert and his wife MaryAnne Josephson of West Boylston, Raymond and his wife Beverly Josephson of NM. Ralph and his wife Dottie Josephson of Worc. He was predeceased by a sister Dorothy Josephson and 2 brothers James and John MacPhee, and a nephew John MacPhee. He also leaves many Grand nieces and nephews.

Mac was born in Worcester son of the late Alden and Catherine (MacGarvie) MacPhee. He graduated from North High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a machinist for many years at Norton Company and Reed Rolled Thread Die Company. He was a member of Greenhill Golf Club, enjoyed piloting his own airplane, and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will be at a later date in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mac's memory may be made to Christopher House@ 10 Mary Scano drive Worc.
