Obituary

Holliston—Melvin M. Cummings, 88, formerly of 49 Church St., passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004, at the Armenian Nursing Home, Jamaica Plains. His wife of 36 years, Elsie M. (Hughes) Cummings, died in 1980. He leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Bruce Gilkinson of Holliston and 2 cousins, Andrew and Anna Shadbegian of Worcester.

Melvin was born in Watertown, son of Rubin and Nellie (Bedrosian) Kaloustian. He was a graduate of North High School and attended Boston College. He was a comptroller for several auto dealers, including Charles Chevrolet of Worcester and Pell Pontiac of Westborough. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of Wesley Methodist Church, Worcester.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester with a private committal on Thursday, July 15, in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.
