Obituary

Melissa Linn McDermott, 47, passed away in the Worcester Health Center on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Hye Suk (Om) and Robert M. McDermott. Missy attended Quinsigamond Community College and received a Bachelor's degree from Fitchburg State College. She leaves her beloved son, Zachary M. McDermott-Tashjian and his father Brian Tashjian; her husband William Fikter and his daughter Autumn; her parents Robert and Hye Suk McDermott; her sister Laura Lee McDermott of Las Vegas, NV; and her best friend Isabelle Feliciano.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street on Friday, June 17, from 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Devereux School, 60 Miles Road, Rutland MA 01543 or to Zachary McDermott-Tashjian, c/o Mr. & Mrs. Robert McDermott.
