Obituary

Worcester, MA - Mary (Choruzek) Santimaw, 88, formerly of Bristol St., passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at the Christopher House. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Anna (Nabozna) and William Choruzek and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at the Knollwood Nursing Home for many years before retiring. Among the things she particularly enjoyed were a love of cats, crocheting, and gardening.

She leaves three daughters, Patricia Vickers of Worcester, Janet Horton of Florida, and Michele Santimaw of Millbury; two grandchildren, Shawn Mard and his girlfriend, Lissette and Christopher Law; three great-grandchildren, and many nephews & nieces. She was predeceased by her siblings - two sisters, Jane Markman and Helen Flagg, and four brothers, Peter, Edward, Stanley, and William Choruzek.

Her family extends special thanks to the Staff of the Christopher House of Worcester - Brookside Unit and the VNA for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. A calling hour will be held at 10am immediately followed by the service at 11am. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
