Worcester - Mary A. (Handfield) Wood Sisson, 95, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, in the Christopher House. Her husbands, Herbert A. Wood and J. Arthur Sisson, predeceased her. She leaves a son and his wife, John H. and Mary Wood, of Melrose; 2 daughters, Mary A. and her husband, Howard Ryan, Jr., and Barbara A. Anger all of Holden; 4 granddaughters; 3 grandsons; 3 great-grandsons; and 8 great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Arthur J. Handfield, Jr., and John F. Handfield and a sister, Margaret Handfield. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur J. and Mary A. (Blake) Handfield, Sr.

Funeral services will be held from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., on Friday, January 6, with a calling hour from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Parish. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Food Pantry at St. Joan of Arc Parish, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester MA 01605.
