Obituary

Mary T. Gurney, 81, passed away on September 3, 2009 at Oakwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, Webster, where she had been a resident for several years.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Harold C. and Agnes (Quinn) Gurney. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara L. Ryan, of Quincy and Marjorie Mattei of Worcester; her brother, Harold A. Gurney and his wife, Patricia of Auburn; several nieces and a nephew and several grandnephews and a grandniece. Mary attended schools in Worcester and worked as a licensed practical nurse in Worcester and the surrounding towns for many years.

Funeral services will be held from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester Tuesday, Sept. 8, with a 10:00 a.m. Mass in St. Bernard's Church, 228 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. prior to the mass.
