Obituary

Mary (Markarian) Garabedian, 80, died Saturday, May 24, in Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Her husband of 27 years, Harold Garabedian, died in 1975. She leaves a sister, Rose Paloian of Worcester; one niece, several nephews; great nieces and nephews.

Mrs.Garabedian was born in Worcester, daughter of Toros and Zabel (Alemian) Markarian and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and Becker Junior College.

Mrs. Garabedian was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour and its Women's Guild. She was known as Auntie Mamie to her family and loved fashion and jewelry.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, May 28th, at the Armenian Church of our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.
