Boylston – Martha J. (Haynes) Johnson, 90, passed away on August 16, 2026 in St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Worcester. She is survived by two sons, Steven L. Johnson and his wife Carolyn and Bruce A. Johnson; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years- Herbert C. Johnson, two daughters, Debbie A. Johnson (d. 1991) and Sonja J. Collins (d. 2012) as well as her siblings, David, Donald, Harold, Raymond, Nancy and Jean.

Martha was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Everett and Margaret (Frye) Haynes. She attended Holden High School and worked as a Fire and Police dispatcher for the town of Boylston for many years.

Martha enjoyed spending time with family, knitting, reading mystery novels and going for motorcycle rides.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 10-11 a.m. with a service to follow in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Debbie Anne Johnson Scholarship Fund in the care of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, 1 Mercantile St. Worcester, Ma. 01608.
