Obituary

South Yarmouth- Marie G. (Flibbert) Isakson, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Cape Cod Hospital. She leaves her beloved husband of 66 years Harvard W. Isakson; seven children- Margaret Bok and her husband Hans, William Isakson, Germaine Bianchi and her husband John, Kenneth Isakson and his wife Diane, Marcia Sivazlian, Neil Isakson and his wife Paula, Lisa Bishop and her husband James; a brother Girard Flibbert; a sister Anne Turgeon; 12 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Eric Isakson and her brother Joseph Flibbert.

Marie was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Hervey and Margarite (Gosselin) Flibbert. She was a proud mother of eight children. She was a member of the former Notre Dame Church in Worcester and the Neireids Women's Swim Group at the YWCA. She was also a swimming instructor at the YWCA. She enjoyed volunteering as a poll worker for elections. One of Marie's favorite passions was traveling to many different destinations.
