Obituary

Worcester: Maria Ruiz, 57, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus. She leaves 3 children- Anaizcha Villanueva, Joel Ruiz, and Jeremi Bustamante; 2 grandchildren Avin and Jacoby Ruiz (and one grandbaby on the way); siblings Vivian Ruiz, Noel Ruiz, William Ruiz, and Mery Martinez; and many nieces and nephews.

Maria was born in Manhattan, New York, daughter of the late Angel Ruiz and Blanca Hilda Martinez. She worked as a seamstress in a dress making factory for many years. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and enjoyed listening to music, spending time with her family, and shopping.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church.
