Obituary

Worcester: Manuel Martell, 98, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves 5 daughters- Lydia, Maryann, Nancy, Margy, and Olivia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; 4 brothers- Arcadio Martell, Tony Martell, Pasqual Martell and Nicholas Martell; 2 sisters- Jenny and Mary Martell; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Rafaela Martell

Manuel was born in Lasmarias, Puerto Rico, son of the late Salvador and Oliva (Denisac) Martell. He lived in Brooklyn, NY for many years before moving to Worcester in 1995. He worked as a factory worker in the Tootsie Roll Factory in New Jersey for many years. He enjoyed fishing, bicycling, watching wrestling and boxing and listening to Spanish music.


Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 1-4 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
