Obituary

Shrewsbury—Mae F. (Carlson) George, 87, died Monday, April 16, 2007, in Saint Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Albert George, died in 1956. She leaves a son, Donald George of Marietta, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Bill McGovern of Shrewsbury with whom she lived; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mae was predeceased by three sisters: Anne Nelson, Ruth Kempka, and Louise Gardner. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur and Lillian (Nelson) Carlson. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mae retired from Norton Co. after 25 years of service. She was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Thursday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling Hours will be held at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester Weds., April 18, 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester MA 01606.
