Obituary

Madelyn M. (Gabree) Galvin-Storey, 83, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at the VNA Hospice Residence. Her former husband, James D. Galvin, Sr., died in 1980. Her husband of 25 years, Ernest M. Storey, Jr., died in 2000. She is survived by 4 sons and daughters-in-law, James D. and Maria deLourdes Galvin, Jr., of Worcester, Jerome M. and Elaine Galvin of Rutland, John E. and Beverly Galvin of Auburn, and Joseph S. and Kathleen Galvin of Oxford; 8 grandchildren—Scott and Christopher Johnson; John, Stephanie, and Michael Galvin; and Brian, Courtney, and Patrick Galvin; a niece Theresa Mineau; as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judith V. Galvin Johnson (1989) and 3 sisters, Mae Ruleau, Grace Hines, and Eleanor Morrow. Madelyn was born in Worcester, daughter of Victor and Nellie (Dunn) Gabree. She was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during WWII.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 3, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park.
