Obituary

Shrewsbury: Lois E. (McClary) Winterbottom, 90, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019. She was the wife of William Winterbottom, who died in 2013. Lois was also predeceased by her parents, David and Emily Benson McClary, three half sisters, Margaret McNomara, Arline Benson, and Florence Meyer. She leaves her nephew James Morse and his wife Donalee of Oakham, MA and several half nieces and nephews.

Lois graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. She retired from Central Mass Anesthesia Affiliates. She also worked for Hahnemann Anesthesia, Paul Revere Life Insurance Company, and Dr. William Putnam, DVM. As a young girl, Lois enjoyed her many summers on the family farm in Canada where she acquired her love of animals.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no calling hours and burial will be private. Lois will be laid to rest with her husband at the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois's name to the Worcester Animal Rescue League. Arrangements are under the direction of Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester.
