Obituary

Lillian M. (Paulson) Brown, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham. She leaves several cousins, Sally Hughes, Dylan Hughes, and Donna Wolfe; and close friends Ruth G., Kim and Linda Johnson, Cecile, Cortis, and Debra W. She was predeceased by her husband Elwood F. Brown, and a sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Paul Goulding.

Lillian was born in Worcester, daughter of Ole and Lydia (Nystrom) Paulson. She graduated from Commerce High School and was a secretary in Boylston schools and for Worcester Children's Friend Society in Worcester. She was a member of Greendale People's Church, Tower Hill Botanical Garden, and Gold Star Wives of America. Lillian enjoyed gardening, camping, crafting, and spending time with the many dogs she rescued over the years.

A graveside service will be held Monday, March 11, at 10am in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St. Worcester MA 01606.
