It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we share the passing of Lester Leroy Saltis of Worcester Massachusetts. On October 24, 2026, at age 79.

Lester was born on November 3, 1946, in Boston Massachusetts to the late Lillian G (Rider) and Albert Saltis.

Lester is survived by his daughters, Nanette M. (Saltis) Daley and her husband, James M. Daley of Peabody Massachusetts, and Susan T. Saltis of Salisbury, Massachusetts; his first wife, Nancy M. Saltis of Amesbury Massachusetts; his brother, Eugene Saltis, and his wife, Juana, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; his niece Brenda; his nephew, Glenn Saltis; and his grandchildren, Gianna, Michael and Anthony. He is preceded by his wife, Gail S. (Carlson) Saltis, who passed October 23, 2005, and his nephew, Brian Saltis.

Lester was an honest, hardworking man, a faithful blood donor, caregiver and a caring soul who was always there for others. He enjoyed sports, fishing, vacations in Aruba and most of all, spending time with his family.

One of Lester’s greatest milestones was achieving 40 years of sobriety, a remarkable accomplishment that reflected his strength and perseverance. His big smile, laughter and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

To the world, Lester was one person, to us, he was the world.
