Lahja K. Morrison, 96

Framingham/Holden: Lahja K. (Penttinen) (Korpi) Morrison, 96 of Framingham died peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health.

Lahja was born in Worcester daughter of the late Emil and Hilda (Rajala) Penttinen. She was predeceased by her first husband, Toimi Korpi, and her second husband, Francis Morrison. Prior to her retirement she was a registered nurse in Worcester for many years. She was a very active person who enjoyed art, bowling, and line dancing.

She is survived by her son, Bernard J. Korpi and his wife Kerstin of Framingham, and 3 grandchildren, Liisa Plante and her husband John of Uxbridge, Michael Korpi of Sherman Oaks, CA and Erika Korpi of Framingham, MA.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 1:00 pm in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A calling hour will be held prior to the funeral on Tues. from 12-1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
