Obituary

Kathleen Lila Engvall, 76, of 66 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2003, in Holden Nursing Home.

She leaves her husband of 53 years, Carl A. B. Engvall; 5 children, Pamela A. Hinckley of Hardwick, Laura M. Engvall of Harwich, Cynthia Engvall-Kenney of Holden, Ronald C. Engvall of Leicester, and Debra E. Engvall of Worcester; a younger sister, Barbara Rosen of Woodstock, CT; a younger brother, Carl Grusell of Worcester; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Eric and Astrid M. (Johansson) Grusell. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church where she also served as secretary, organist, and member of the Senior Choir. A skilled organist and musician, she also enjoyed knitting and loved classical music.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Sat. Nov. 15, at Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Avenue. Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund, 41 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester, MA 01606.
