Obituary

Worcester: Karen A. (Brackett) Swope, 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center. She leaves her husband of 48 years, Raymond Swope; a sister- Judith L. Reilly of Millbury; 3 brothers- Randall S. Brackett and his wife Carolyn of VA, Douglas A. Brackett and his wife Eileen of Worcester, and William R. Brackett and his wife Sharon of Boylston; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Thomas Reilly.

Karen was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Calvin and Beverly (Paulson) Brackett. She graduated from Burncoat Senior High School and earned her Associates Degree from Quinsigamond Community College. She worked for 35 years as a claims clerk at the former State Mutual Insurance Company. She enjoyed shopping, dining, going to the beach in Maine and Sanibel Island, and spending time with friends.

All services will be private. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
