Obituary

Worcester—Karen H. (Lanson) Vitale, 65 died Monday, March 9, 2009, after a long illness. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Toivo N. and Gertrude (Niemi) Lanson. She leaves two sons, Michael Vitale of Chelsea, MA and Steven Vitale and his wife Sharon of Millbury, MA, one daughter Kim Martin of Spencer, MA, a brother, Richard Lanson and his wife Judy Lanson of Fitchburg, MA, her life's partner and best friend, George "Sonny" Perreault, nine grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, John, Bobby, Steven, Matthew, Kyle, Mark, and Sadie, and six great-grandchildren.

There are no calling hours. A private graveside funeral service will be held at Rural Cemetery, Worcester. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, is directing arrangements.
