Obituary

Worcester: June D. Jurey, 87, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 in Rose Monahan Hospice. She left many friends, neighbors, her cat Zoey, "CLUB" (for over 68 years) and many who called her "Auntie June". They will all miss her.

June was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Michael and Helen Jurewicz and her step-father Lorenzo Medici. She graduated from Commerce High School and worked at the former State Mutual Insurance Company for many years as the Director of Group Collection and Commission.

June was an incredible "fashionista", whose clothes, hair, nails, and makeup was always perfect. She was a talented and independent person who was a very good friend to everyone. If you ever needed anything, she was the first to say "I'll do it". June was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Twin Oaks Condo Association and volunteered at RSVP, the Visiting Nurses Association and the Worcester Senior Center.


According to her wishes, June has donated her earthly remains to the UMASS Medical School Anatomical Gift Department. A memorial service and burial will be held in Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury at a later date. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements.
