Nov 3, 1969 — Aug 31, 2026
Fitchburg, MA
Fitchburg — Jodi Marie (Franklin) Brady, 56, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born in Leominster to Larry and Joan (VivoAmore) Franklin, Jodi was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Leominster High School, class of 1987, and earned her associate degree from Mount Wachusett Community College in 1991. Most recently, she worked as a Quality Inspector in the military and aerospace industry.
At the heart of Jodi’s life were the people she loved. She loved, supported, and fiercely protected those closest to her. She was also deeply devoted to her mother, Joan, spending much of her time helping and caring for her.
Jodi met life with resilience and an enduring sense of hope. Even during difficult times, she believed there was always a reason to keep finding a way to make things better, and a reason to smile. Her quick wit and unmistakable laugh could fill a room, and she had a way of bringing humor and lightness wherever she went.
Music was a constant source of joy in Jodi’s life. She especially loved Aerosmith and shared many treasured memories with her son, Billy, attending many concerts together over the years.
Jodi’s had a special love for dogs, but her compassion reached creatures of every kind, big and small. She loved watching thunderstorms roll in and found peace near the ocean. Some of her favorite days were spent in Gloucester with her long time love and Fiancé Scott, walking the beach and searching the shoreline for sea glass.
Jodi leaves her loving partner, Scott Forbes, with whom she shared more than 16 years and was engaged to marry; her beloved mother, Joan Franklin; her sister, Tracy Franklin; her children, William Brady, Armanda Roderick with her husband Matthew, Ashli Brady, and Markayla Tansey; and her three “beautiful grandbabies,” Amelia Roderick, Emery Roderick, and Callan Roderick, along with several nieces and nephews, many family members and friends who loved her dearly.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Angelica Tansey, whom she carried close to her heart throughout her life, lovingly remembering and celebrating her birthday each year; Her grandfather, Armando VivoAmore, who held an especially important place in her life and was the father figure she looked to growing up; and her grandmother, Mary (Antocci) Riggans, with whom she also shared a very close bond.
Jodi will be remembered for the laughter and warmth she brought to those around her.
