Obituary

MIllbury: Joan O. (LeBlanc) Smith, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in the Residence of Orchard Grove in Shrewsbury. She leaves 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Smith in 2015.
Joan was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Alma (Casavant) LeBlanc. In addition to raising her family, she worked closely with her husband's Plumbing and Heating business. Joan was a member of St. Mark's Church in Sutton and was active in the prayer shawl group. She was a Regional Board Member of the former DMR and a strong advocate for her son Stephen.
Our family would like to thank Nurse Practitioner, Lenka Drahoradova of the UMass Geriatric Practice and Kate Bonczek, RN of Notre Dame Hospice for the wonderful care they provided our mother.
