Obituary

Worcester—Jennie Sandra (Williamson) Johansson, 93, died Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Saint Vincent Hospital after a brief illness. Her husband of 60 years, Carl S. Johansson, died in 1994. Jennie was born in St. George, Maine, daughter of William and Mary (Heiniluoma) Williamson. One of 16 children, she was the last surviving sibling among her brothers and sisters. Her only son, Everett Johansson, died in 1964. She leaves 4 grandchildren, Brian D. Johansson of Wellesley, MA, Glenn E. Johansson of North Adams, MA, Nancy E. Aldridge of Maidens, VA, and Laura M. Randall of Suffield, CT; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great, great-grandson. Mrs. Johansson was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Vasa Order of America – Quinsigamond Lodge, and the Finnish American Club.

Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 7, 2010. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund, Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Avenue, Worcester, MA 01606.
