Obituary

Worcester, MA - Jeanette Ann Johnson, 82, passed away July 10, 2014 in her home at Tatnuck Park surrounded by family. Her husband of 34 years, Walter Joseph Johnson III, died in 1989. She leaves a daughter, Susan A. Seeley; three sons, Walter J. Johnson IV, Peter G. Johnson, and David M. Johnson; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Jeanette was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Bertha and J. Emile Gagne. Jeanette grew up in Bloomfield, NJ meeting her future husband at Bloomfield High School, she was also a graduate of Skidmore College, Class of 1953. Jeanette and her husband settled in River Vale, NJ where they raised their four children. She worked before and after having children in the pharmaceutical, academia and automotive industries. Jeanette was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Westwood, NJ, serving many years on the Alter Guild. In 2005, Jeanette moved to Shrewsbury Crossing, Shrewsbury, MA and in 2008, she moved to Tatnuck Park, Worchester, MA.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 9 Harrington Ave., Westwood, NJ 07675, on Tuesday, July 29, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Grace Episcopal Altar Guild, Grace Episcopal Church.
