Obituary

Worcester - Jean S. (Fowler) Troy, Jay, 62, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 30 years, James F. Jay, Sr.; 3 sons, John W. Troy IV, Adam E. Troy and his wife Michelle of Warren, and James F. Jay, Jr. ; 5 grandchildren- Ashley J., John W. Troy V Eric A., Addison D., and Eve-Marie Priscilla, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Scruffy whom she loved as the daughter she never had. Jean was predeceased by 3 brothers and 5 sisters, Donna Arsenault, Nancy Clark, Judith Bain, Priscilla Lavallee, Diane Swanson, and Ronald, Edgar, and Wayne Fowler.

Jean was born in Worcester, daughter of Edgar and Laura (Altonen) Fowler. Following graduation from Commerce High School and attending Becker College, she worked as a cook at Donna Kay Rest Home for many years. She enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles, going to yard sales, and singing in the Christmas Choir at the Vernon Hill Post. She was also an avid reader and Red Sox fan. Above all, Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 4:30 pm in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. at the funeral home.
