Obituary

Worcester - Jay A. Ruffo, 53, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Tuesday, September 13, 2011. He leaves his wife and best friend of 40 years, Veronica C. (Jolin) Ruffo; son, Anthony J. Ruffo; daughter, Sarah Ruffo; father, John Ruffo; brother Mark Ruffo; and two grandchildren, Juliano and Vinny - all of Worcester. His mother, Alice (Berglund) Ruffo died in 2008.

Jay was a life-long Worcester resident, member of Zion Lutheran Church, and a proud member of International Union of Operating Engineers - Local #4.

Services will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, Monday, September 19, 2011. A calling hour will be held at 11 am, followed by the funeral at 12 noon. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Avenue, Worcester MA 01606.
