Obituary

Jane R. (Roberts) Schlicher, 88, died in her home, Briarwood, on Monday, November 12, 2012. She was the widow of John E. Schlicher. Jane is survived by two daughters, Susan Perry and her husband Anthony and Nancy Pressel; one niece and two nephews; five grandchildren, Tony, Mark, Cindy, Stephanie, and Sue; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Sybil Tedford.

Jane was born in Hartford, CT, daughter of Flavia (Rockwell) and Edward Roberts. She was a high school and nursing school graduate. She worked at UMass Memorial Hospital, Fallon Clinic, and also as a private duty nurse. Jane was proud of her heritage and was a member of the American Colonists Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Among the things she most enjoyed were traveling, wintering in Florida, and collecting thimbles and paintings.

A memorial service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street on Saturday, November 17, at 10:00 am.
