Obituary

Worcester - Ivy (Dunkley) Skerry passed away peacefully at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the age of 105. She was the widow of George A. Skerry who died in 1998. She leaves two daughters, Lynda J. Skerry of Worcester and Carol A. Skerry of Milford as well as several nieces and nephews. Two siblings preceded her in death - George Dunkley and Margaret Sogegian.

Born in Halifax, Yorkshire, England, Ivy was a daughter of Maggie (Wedgery) and Alfred Dunkley. She was a member of Saint Michael's-on-the-Heights church in Worcester. Ivy was a wonderful and loving homemaker - taking care of her family was her top priority. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th at 11:00 am at St Mark's Episcopal Church, 6 Freeland Street, Worcester, MA. Memorial donations may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice as follows: Checks made payable to VNA Care Network may be sent to VNA Care Network & Hospice, 199 Rosewood Drive Suite 180, Danvers MA 01923 or the charity of your choice. The family has entrusted Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester with the arrangements.
