Obituary

Worcester—Isabel E. (Menengas) Thomas, 85, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009. She leaves two sons, Dennis P. Thomas of Worcester, Steven N. Thomas of Alaska, and one daughter, Alana J. Thomas of Worcester; 4 grandchildren, Novalee Thomas, Carleen, Michael, and Derrick Trafecante, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 1 brother Lawrence Menengas, and 1 sister, Caroline Ograbisz. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Peter P. Thomas, a daughter, Carol A. Currier, and by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Isabel was born in Provincetown, daughter of Antone and Maria Sophia Menengas. She was a member of St. Christopher's Church.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St. Worcester at 11:00 am. Thursday, March 5, 2009. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wed. March 4, 2009 from 5-8:00 pm at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester.
