Obituary

Auburn - Irene M. (Argraves) Pierce, 76, passed away at home Sunday, March 27, 2011, surrounded by her loving family following a short illness. She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Ada M. (McGraw) and Emund A. Argraves. She leaves 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth & John Benicek of Auburn, Sheri & Mike Monahan of Boylston, and Lorrie & Chris Millar of Northboro; 2 brothers, Edmund A. Argraves & Gordon Argraves, both of Canada; her first husband, Lester Parady of Maine; 4 grandchildren, Tina Bastarache of Auburn, Kimberly Bastarache of Spencer, Cody Helin of Northboro, and Zachary Helin of Marlboro; and 2 great-grandchildren, Brianna Seiders and Brendan Pierce Ainsleigh. She was predeceased by her husband Leon Pierce; sisters, Ella Durost and Lena Greenier; and grandson Keith Pierce.

Irene attended Faith Baptist Church in Auburn. She enjoyed her family and the love of God. She liked gospel music, reading, taking car rides, going out to eat, and solving crossword puzzles.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 31, from 9-11 a.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. Flowers may be sent.
