Obituary

Ilma "Kay" (Yleva) Jokela, 96, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at the Lutheran Home. Her husband, Karl J. Jokela, died in 1991. Born and raised in Worcester, she was a daughter of Mikko and Maria L. (Ylikahrys) Yleva and graduated from Commerce High. She was a member of the former Faith Lutheran Church and worked for 30 years at Norton Co., retiring in 1970. She then lived in Cotuit for 21 years, moving back to Worcester in 1991. She is survived by 2 sisters, Alli E. Connolly of Worcester and Laila M. Anttila of Yuba City, CA; a nephew; two grandnephews; a great-grandnephew and a great-grandniece. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Laina M. Wickman and Laura V. Yleva.

Funeral services, under the direction of Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, will be private. After cremation, burial will be in Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit, MA. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to the Lutheran Home of Worcester, 26 Harvard Street, Worcester MA 01609.
