Obituary

Worcester—Ida L. (Ekstrom) Wright, 93, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, in the Lutheran Healthcare Center. She leaves her husband of 66 years, John A. Wright; 3 daughters, Susan D. Olson and her husband Lloyd of Worcester, Linda M. Horman and her husband Paul of Narraganset, RI, and Jean C. Lalone and her husband David of Shrewsbury; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; and nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a twin brother and 3 sisters. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Augusta (Osterholm) and Charles Ekstrom. She worked at the MA Office of Unemployment. Ida was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Ruth Circle. She was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher and a member of the Vasa Order.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 3, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 125 Holden St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held prior to the funeral at 9:30 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Healthcare Center, Resident's Activities Fund, 26 Harvard St., Worcester MA 01609.
