Obituary

Henry E. Nelson, Sr., 79, died Sunday, August 31, 2008, at University Commons. He leaves 2 sons and a daughter, Henry E. Nelson, Jr., Jean C. Schiavone, and William Nelson; a sister, Elizabeth DeWolfe; 6 grandchildren; and his friend John Bernier. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Philomena (Dell-Erba) A. Nelson and his brother, Carl "Gus" Nelson. Henry was born in Worcester, son of Elizabeth (Anderson) and Carl G. Nelson. He was an army veteran. Henry was an avid race-car fan and enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street is directing arrangements.
