Obituary

Helene J. (Paulsen) Taylor, 87, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, in Oakdale Nursing Home, West Boylston. Her husband, George H. Taylor, Jr., died in 1989. She leaves two sons, George H. Taylor III of Milford and Thomas P. Taylor and his wife Sandra of Westminster; a daughter, Sally A. Taylor-Thayer of Lowell; a sister, Marion Brooks of SC; and three grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Ralph and Helga (Willie) Paulsen. She was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and served with the Women's Marine Corps during WWII. She was a member of the Women's Marine Corps League of Worcester. She loved big band music and spending time with her family during the summer months at Moody and Hampton Beaches.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 22, at 11:00 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. For directions and on-line guestbook, please visit:
