Obituary

Worcester—Helen "Sis" (Sarkala) Maki Annelin, 93, of 111 Country Club Blvd., died Oct. 15, 2007. Her husband of 40+ years, Walter E. Annelin, died in 1993. She leaves a daughter, Marilyn Ann MacConnell of Boylston, a niece, and a nephew. She was born in Worcester and lived here all her life. She was a member of the Finnish American Club of Shrewsbury and former member of the Happy Homesteaders square dance group for many years. There will be no funeral service or calling hours. After cremation, burial will be in Hope Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family has selected Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester MA 01605 to direct arrangements.
