Obituary

Helen (Skonieczny) Mirick, 94, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Her husband, Paul R. Mirick, died in 1984. Helen was born in Worcester, daughter of Maryanne (Wappiewicz) and Joseph Skonieczny. Helen's nine brothers and sisters and her niece, Dottie Cabana, predeceased her. She leaves a niece, Debra Rasku of Florida and a niece, Jane Arroyo of Auburn. A lifelong Worcester resident, Helen worked at Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department for many years. She was an active member of Adams Square Baptist Church on Lincoln Street where she served on the board of deacons, hosted the hospitality table, and played the piano at many church functions.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, in Adams Square Baptist Church, 266 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street is directing arrangements.
