Obituary

Worcester—Helen E. (Jacobson) Swenson, 101, died April 19, 2008, in the Oakdale Nursing Home. Her husband, Russell F. Swenson, died in 1975. She leaves 2 nieces, Sandra Packard of Holden and Janet Farrand of NJ. Four brothers predeceased her: Iver, Elmer, Adolph, and Albert Jacobson. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Emil and Amanda (Johnson) Jacobson. She was a life-time member of Salem Covenant Church where through the years she sang in the choir, participated in the Salem Retirees and the Covenant Women's Society. Helen worked at the Vellumoid Company in Worcester for many years.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Covenant Church. After cremation, burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
