Obituary

Worcester: Harold T. Swenson, Jr., 79, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. He leaves his wife of 58 years Elaine M. (Dufault) Swenson; a son Erik L. Swenson and his wife Robin of Sturbridge; a daughter Stacey L. Smith and her husband Jonathan of North Brookfield; a sister Linda Anthony of FL; and two nephews- Robert and Kurt.

Harold was born in Worcester, son of the late Harold and Grace (Hughes) Swenson. He graduated from Boys Trade High School and proudly served in the US Navy from 1965-1969 on the USS Vesole during the Vietnam War. He worked as a machinist at the former Morgan Construction Company for many years. He enjoyed camping, target shooting, and racing go carts. He was very patriotic and was a very proud veteran.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will be at a later date in All Faiths Cemetery.
