Obituary

Leicester: Gunnlaug "Gulla" Magnusson, 87, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center- University Campus. She leaves two sons- Thomas Trepanier and his wife Evelyn Trepanier of Worcester and Edward Trepanier and his wife Becki Vinlove of Auburndale,Florida; son in law Michael Heighton; grandchildren- Joseph Trepanier and wife Patti, Tim Trepanier and wife Lauren , Rachel LaCroix and husband Paul , Thomas Jr, Mark and Luz Trepanier; 4 great-grandchildren- Zoey Millet, Edward, Jace,Mathew Trepanier a brother Ingibergur Magnusson Baldvinsson Sr. and wife Edel of Norway and nephew Ingibergur Jr, Gunnlaug Reynir Baldvinsson and more extended family in Europe. She was predeceased by daughter Anita Heighton and three brothers;Jon Baldvinsson ,Ulrik and Sigudur Jonsson.

Gulla was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, daughter of the late Ragnar and Sigriour (Jonsdottir) Helgason. She graduated from the Royal Conservatory in Copenhagen, Denmark and worked for many years as a receptionist in a dental office.She was a piano teacher through her life. She was a member of Vasa Nordic Lodge 611. She enjoyed music, playing piano, an advocate for dental hygiene.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4-5 p.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
