Worcester—Greta A. (Dahlstrom) Nelson, 91, formerly of 12 Rankin St., died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at The Lutheran Home. Her husband of 48 years, Gustaf C. Nelson, died in 1989. She leaves 2 daughters, Carla B., wife of Kenneth Johansson of Grafton and Virginia E. and her husband Donald Breitkreutz of Pinellas Park, FL; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Johansson and his wife Jennifer of Lynn, David Johansson and his wife Hope of Quinton, VA, and Jonathan Johansson and his wife Nicole of Coconut Creek, FL, Kirsten Breitkreutz of Gainesville, FL, and Susan, wife of Stephen Masyada of Alachua, FL; and 2 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Sophia Johansson of Lynn.

She was born in Worcester, graduated from Commerce High School, and lived here all her life. Mrs. Nelson and her husband were administrators of Homestead Hall Rest Home for many years, retiring in 1977. She was an active member of Belmont St. Baptist Church, holding many offices in the church and its women's groups. She was treasurer for many years of the former North Worcester Aid Society, a member of the Greendale Retired Women's Club, and Vasa Order of America, John Ericson Lodge.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held Wed., April 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Belmont St. Baptist Church, Memorial Fund, 25 Belmont St., Worcester 01605 or Talking Books for the Blind, Worcester Public Library, 1 Salem Sq., Worcester 01608.
