Obituary

WORCESTER--Gordon W. Ross, 80, of 37 Fairhaven Road, died Sunday, January 19, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

His wife of 53 years, Marion V. (Markmann) Ross, died in 1998. He leaves a son, Paul W. Ross of Worcester; a daughter, June D. Girard of Worcester; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ross, and graduated from Worcester schools.

Mr. Ross was a WWII Navy Veteran. He worked in the maintenance department of Cincinnati-Milicron Co. for 20 years, retiring several years ago. Previously he had worked for the former Worcester Pressed Steel Co. He was a member of Greendale Peoples Church and was an avid gardener.

A graveside service in Rural Cemetery will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.
