Obituary

Worcester- Gladys J. Troy, 97, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Meadows of Leicester. She was a loving mother to seven children, to whom she leaves behind- Laurence K. Ahlstrom, Laurel J. Ahlstrom, Patricia J. Barry, Janet A. Gallant, Nancy Troy, Paul B. Troy, Keith W. Troy, and all their respective families. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John F. Troy in 1978.

Gladys was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Charles and Signe (Oppler) Carlson. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. She then worked for many years as a dental hygienist in Worcester. Earlier in life, Gladys was a member of Belmont Street Baptist Church and then joined First Assembly of God where she worked and worshiped.
