Obituary

Gertrude E. Benoit, 90, a long-time resident of Dodge Park Rest Home, died Sunday, June 1, 2008. She is survived by 2 brothers, Myron Benoit and his wife Eleanor of Holden and Roger Benoit of West Boylston; several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and the members of the O'Rourke family. Her twin sister, Erma, died in 1936. She was born in Charlton, daughter of Mildred (Shaw) and Edward Benoit and was a graduate of Commerce High. She worked in the office at U.S. Steel for 38 years and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and U.S. Steel Retirees. Gertrude enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, and gardening.

Funeral services will be Thursday morning, June 5, 2008, at All Saints Church, 10 Irving Street with a calling hour at the church at 10:00 followed by the funeral at 11.
