Obituary

Worcester: George N. Mwangi, 48, passed away on July 5, 2024, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. He leaves his wife Hannah G. Kiarie; 4 daughters- Joy Patience, Naomi, Mary, and Chanya; and brothers John, Daniel, The late Evans, Peter, Joseph, and David of Kenya; and sisters Cecilia, the late Monica of Kenya, Esther of Pennsylvania, and Rhoda of Washington USA.



George was born in Thika, Kenya, the son of Benjamin Mwangi and Naomi Githu. He graduated from Gituru High School and attended The United States Truck Driving School. He worked as a long-haul truck driver and enjoyed traveling, photography, watching action movies, listening to Reggae music, eating Ngama Choma, and spending time with family and friends.



Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery Worcester, 260 Cambridge St, Worcester, MA, 01603.
