Obituary

Worcester: George F. Fogarty, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Shirley (Sanders) Fogarty; a son Kevin Fogarty; a daughter Kathleen Fogarty; a granddaughter Brittany Fogarty; a sister-in-law Sandra Belba; and 2 nephews Richard and Scott Belba.

George was born in Worcester, son of the late George and Florence (Dunn) Fogarty. He graduated from Commerce High School and worked at Hanover Insurance Company as a Security Guard for many years. He was a member of the Teamsters. George was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid Nascar fan, enjoyed snowmobiling, and frequent trips to Maine or the casino with his wife Shirley. He also loved animals and leaves behind his cat, fondly referred to as "Cat".

Shirley & the family would like to express our gratitude to The Hospice of Notre Dame for all the love and care they gave George.
